ALLEGED THEFT OF COAT

YOUNG WOMAN FAILS TO APPEAR WARRANT FOR ARREST ISSUED. Arrested by Detective Sinclair on Thursday evening on a charge of stealing a velour coat valued at £7 belonging to Lalli Vandersloot, from a dance hall, a young woman was granted hail. When called to answer the charge before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday morning the young woman failed to put in an appearance. The proceedings were adjourned until the afternoon when she again failed to appear. On the application of Chief-Detective Ward the magistrate granted l a warrant for her arrest, but ordered the suppression of the name.
