MOTOR DRIVER KILLED
LORRY GOES OVER BANK BURIED UNDER LOAD. Per Press Association. . V CARTERTON, March 26. A fatal accident occurred at Martinborough yesterday.afternoon, resulting in the death of Henry Hodges Harrison, a motor-lorry driver employed by Chapman ana Son*. He was proceeding to Martinborough with a load of four tons of cement, and while ascending the Otaraia Cutting, a very steep pinch, attempted to change gear, but missed. The lorry ran backward® over the side of the road, and fell 40ft. Nicholson, a youth who was riding with Harrison, jumped clear and was uninjured, but Harrison was buried under the capsized load, and when extricated by Dr. Webb was dead. He was a married man, 38 years of age, but had no children'.
