A very pleasant perfume that is also a preventative against moths can be made of the following ingredients:— Take one ounce each of cloves, .carro-

way seeds, nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, and Tonquin beans: then add as much Florentine orris root as will equal the other ingredients put together. Grind the whole well to powder; and then put it in little bags among your clothes in your Wardrobe qnd your lingerie in your dressing-chest.
