At the annual meeting of the Masterton Beautifying Society last night the following offioers were elected for the ensuing ’ year:—President, Dr Archer Hosking; vice - presidents, Messrs C. E. Golf Club, at' its ant nual meeting last flight, elected the following officials for the ensuing year ; —President, Mr H. G. Williams; vice-presidents, Messrs W. M. Kebbell and G. C. McClyinbnt, j. D. Row-' lands, W! J.v Marjtin, \V. F, Roydhouse, A. Wright, Dryden, G. Brown, H. B. Keenan, J. L. Murray, F.'W. Heaven, L. S. Nicol, W. Pennistone, R. J. Barton, A. W. Rowlands, W. Stacey (Masterton); executive, each club appoint two delegates and advise the secretary. The Wellington Education Board is to be asked to encourage the Association code in the Wairarapa schools. It was mentioned that there was J an enthusiast in Masterton Who was prepared to donate a cup valued at 25 guineas to the association for school competition, the only stipulation being there must be six teams competing. > At last night’s meeting of the Wairarapa Secondary Education Board, Mrs Barrer, Mr Selby, and Mr F. W. Martin were appointed to attend the Technical Boards’ Conference in Wellington.
