MANSLAUGHTER ALLEGED. Per Press Association. TAIHA.PE, MaTch 13. William Martin Collins was arrested to-day and charged with manslaughter, arising out • of the dealh of a Maori named Haere Puru, who w’as found unconscious on the road, and died late-* in the hospital. It is alleged that the deceased was knocked down by a horse ridden by the accused. Collins appeared before Justices of the Peace tliis morning, and was remanded to appear before a magistrate on March 22nd. Bail was allowed.
