FIRE IN FACTORY

CAUSED BY CIGARETTE END At 6.32 yesterday morning the Wellington Fire-Brigade received a call to. 216. Thorndon quay, where an outbreak of fire had occurred in a wood, brick and iron one-storey mattress factory, ,owned and occupied by David McCrea. /It was ascertained that the cause of the outbreak was through a lighted cigarette being thrown down and igniting some sacks. Slight damage was done to the door of the factory. The building was insured for £6OO in the Lueroool, London and Glasgow Insurance Company, while the stock and machinery are insured for £SOO in the Norwich Company.
