' The blackberry season is just now at its best, and the berries are stated to be in good condition and plentiful in the high country north of Upper Hutt. Last Sunday nearly 500 people took advantage of the opportunity offered by the Railway Department for a day’s outing at Kaitoke at greatly reduced fares. In response to numerous requests the department has decided to repeat the train on Sunday next. Full particulars of the service are given in our advertising columns to-day.
