PARAMOUNT THEATRE

“GLGTHES MAKE THE PIRATE” AND MONA CLIVE. 1 Heading a first-rate "bill at the Paramount Theatre this week is “Clothes Make the Pirate,” starring Leon Errol ' lid Dorothy Gish. Errol is the pirate. -Sailors just loved ito have him haul up alongside and sink their ship. No more work. Nothing to do but come aboard his boat and watch him navigate. They used to laugh so much chat many of the wise old salts lashed themselves to the mast for fear of rolling off the deck. With Dorothy Gish as a caustic, shrewish wife to prod him, Errol’s role of the timid Yankee tailor who runs away with a pirate ship to escape her is invested with a quaint, satirical comedy quality which makes perfect pantomime. Nita Naldi, James Rennie, Edna i Murphy, and Reginald Barlow round out the exoellent cast with Bplendid portrayals. ; “Clothes Make the Pirate” is a film play not to be missed by those who enjoy laugher and good, wholesome dra- ■ matic entertainment. ! Also appearing' is the beautiful dan- ; cer. Miss Mona Clive, who presents a charming Eastern scena, set in a Syrian harem. “The Syrian Love Dance.” ' “Mona Clive’s Peaches,” a bevy of ; Wellington’s own girls, specially trained by Miss Clive, are also seen to exceptional advantage in an original chorus and dance ballet. ; There is a good supporting bill, and ; excellent music by the orchestra.
