PERSONAL AND GENERAL (From Our Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, March 9. At the annual meeting of the Mnsterton Association Football |*b the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron Mr T. Jordan; president, Mr J. Walker; vice-presi-dents, Messrs O. L. Richards, Hunt, W. Blake, J. Miller, G. Dallas, F. W. Heaven, ■J. Worth and Dr. Moser; captain, Mr H. Parker; vice-captain, Mr E. Henderson; secretary and treasurer, Mr D. Collison; management committee, Messrs C. Leigh, J. Timson, J. McArdnle, F. Preston; delegates to W.F.A., Messrs Leigh, and Collison; sole selector, Mr J. Walker. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital yesterday of Mr Gerald Frank Newberry at tho ago of 37 years. Deceased was'born in England and had worked at Martinborough for some yenrs. Ho has a father living at Dannevirko. Mrs Wilson, wife of Mr T. H. Wilson; a settler of MataraWa, died on Sunday afternoon at the age of 64 years. She leaves a husnnd, one son and four daughters. A movement is on foot in the Wairararpa to collect fundß to send R. A. Rose to compete at the championship athletic meetings in Elngtand and later in America. There are now 2484 consumers in the Wairarapa Power Board area, of which 1068 are in the Masterton district.
