WANGANUI FORM

PROSPECTS AT COMING EVENTS ("Times" Correspondent.) WANGANUI, August 28. The hunter Lochullin left for New Plymouth to-day to fulfil his engagement in the Hunt Cup to-morrow. This gelding will be ridden by E. Copestake, and the track form points to him : running a big race. W. Easton will ride Hindi in the the Hunters' Hurdles at New Plymouth. The Mystification gelding jumped in much unproved form in a schooling lesson on Tuesday. • The lamorid filly Adavale is looking and going particularly well, and it would come as no surprise to see her pick up a "roll" at Wanganui.

Royal Divorce is to he seen in action in the Marton Handicap next Wednesday. This will be the son of King Proctor's first race since he competed at the Auckland summer meeting. He is likely to he much fancied, but may need a race or two before he is ready to Bhow of his very best. The nominations received for the. Debutante Stakes at Wanganui are not up to expectations. There are many youngsters in work, hut the ldng spell of bad weather has interfered with their preSaration, otherwise the entries would ave been better. Mr G. F. Moore will be represented at the Wanganui meeting by Rereznoana, Lady Cavendish, Halgina, and Helen. The last-named is a filly by Limond— Bonny Portland, and is engaged in the Debutante Stakes. She is said to give promise. Roremoana. and Lady Cavendish are to race at the Marton meeting, and this should sharpen them up for their engagements at Wanganui. Elypianor was taken to Trentham for the Fleet meeting but not Taced, as he developed a cold. He is now in work afi Dehige is not engaged on tho first day at Wanganui, but figures in the sprint

event on the second day. The chestnut has been getting through his tasks recently in a very pleasing manner. He races best when fresh and may be hard to beat if he starts here. There is every prospect of the field for the New Zealand Eclipse Stakes at Wanganui being the best which has ever saddled up in that event. Nigger Minstrel has been nominated, but may not start. However, there is plenty of material for a great race with Royal Divorce, Gold Light Rapine, Inferno, Motley, Lady Cavendish, Reremoana and others. Royal Divorce won last year, and though he will have stronger opposition this season he will probably be one of the hardest to beat. Fool's Paradise was slightly amiss for a day or two early in the week, but is now all right again. The Them appears to be improving every gallop, and Anklet is also going very well.
