Thomas J. Daily, aged five years, laid down nis life for his mother, in New York. Thomas went to hie mother’s rescue when her cotton dress caught fire and tried to heat out the flames with his tiny baro hands. The child was : so badly burnt it died in a hospital* but tho mother was saved*
