Petrie, who leaves shortly to take up residence in Wei- ;' lington, has resigned from the Otaki State school committee. The Rev. 1 Liddell has been appointed to fill the ' vacancy. - - There has been much sickness in the 1 district of late, chiefly influenza colds Despite the fact 'that an infant ' room was recently erected at the Otaki' • State School, tho place is overcrowded and a hall is now doing service as a - classroom. Remodelling of the whole I* building has been . promised, but ■ months have elapsed, and still nothing has been done. \
