WAR ON MOROCCAN REBELS FRANCb-SPANISH (TERMS. Beater’s Telegram. MADRID. July 26. The Franco-Spanish conference has concluded. The delegates signed an agreement in regard to Morocco, including: a declaration that France and Spain will not- make peace, separately. It, also deals with the questions of contraband. the delimitation of the French and Spanish zones of influence, and political collaboration. The conference agreed upon reciprocal provisional rights of pursuit in and flight over both the French and Spanish zones. It is reliably learned that large-scale operations -will be undertaken in the Spanish zone in , Morocco immediately after the return of General De Rivera to Tetuan. After an intensive bombardment a landing will be attempted at Ajdir. Several columns will assemble in the upper, valley of the Wadkert in'order to iiivade the territory of the Quezhays tribe and take the Riffs operating in, the Wergha Valley in the rear. The Moroccan, situation is snmmed up by saying that Abd el Krim, from both the: military, and the political standpoint, is ' losing ground. The “Temps” says that the Riffian withdrawal' north of Wergha indicates that Krim is anxious tb avoid the battle which is rendered imminent by the arrival of French reinforcements. I \ He knows the difficulties of a French pursuit into the mountains. He thus hopes to gain time to open negotiations.
