Influenza A Sure Protection against Infection THIS is Influenza weather and you must protect yourself from falling a victim to this prevalent epidemic. Deaths in New Zealand from influenza during the epidemic of 1918 totalled over 5,500 in a period of six weeks. In a much larger number of cases influenza was followed by bronchitis, pneumonia and other serious illnesses. It is therefore necessary for everyone to make himself or herself immune from the attack of this deadly epidemic as far as is possible. It is stated by eminent medical authorities that the surest method of protection is to maintain bodily strength and vitality, for influenza germs can only flourish if the body is in a suitable condition for their growth. The nourishment obtained from food alone gives and maintains strength and vitality. When, at a time like this, extra strength and vitality are necessary, extra nourishment must be supplied, in excess of that which can be obtained from the ordinary daily dietary. That extra nourishment is most abundantly supplied by 'Ovaltine—one cup of which contains more nourishment than 3 eggs; 7 cups Of cocoa or 12 cups of beef extract. It makes a delicious beverage and is easily and quickly prepared by adding to hot milk or milk and water. It contains the restorative and health giving properties of ripe barley malt, creamy milk and fresh eggs—Nature's Tonic Foods. It is strongly recommended that you make * Ovaltine ’ your breakfast beverage. Drink a cup. f ui of this delicious food-beverage during the morning and also for supper or last thing before retiring. Not only does it fortify the system against infection but it also enriches the blood, restores in fatigue and builds up brain, nerve and body. In schools where children make weekly payments for die provision of mid-morning refreshment ' Ovaltine ’ should be substituted for the milk or cocoa usually supplied. This will help the children to combat infection and, at the same time, will build up their general health, both in their physical condition and in their mental activity. In any case, make sure that your children have ‘Ovaltine’ at home as their beverage far every meal. •NIC BEVEEAGE Buitds'up BrAin.Tlepve andom^ Sold by all Chemist* and Stores at 3/6, 4/6 and Sf-.
