HIGH VALUES MAINTAINED. Por Press Association CHRIS’fCHURCH, July 22. The entries at to-day's Addington market were slightly under normal dimensions. In practically all sections the demand was keen and generally values were on a par with last week's high rates. Store sheep.—The entry was smaller than last week, but included a few outstanding pens of hoggets. A draft of strong-woolled North Island ewes, near to lambing, was forward and made 38s Id to 38s 6d. Some fine woolled Canterbury Romneys made 48s 6d, and strong woolled crossbred hoggets up to 38s 6dj good Romney crass six and eight-tooth ewes. 48s 6d; Romney cross ewes, 38s Id to 38s 6d; sound mobthed three-quarter-bred, 33s 9d to 39s tOd; sound and failing mouthed halfbred ewes, 35s 6d; aged ewes, 23s 3d to 265; four and six-toothed halfbred wethers, 34s to 38s; good crossbred ewe hoggets, 88s 6d; three-quarter-bred wether hoggets, 26s to 80s 9d; &nall mixed sexed three-quarterbred hoggets, 23s 6d to 26s sd; halfbred wether hoggets, 26s 3d to 27 s. Ihere was quite a good sale at Bumside to-day from the vendors* point of view, and prices generally ruled hign. l‘at cattle—There was a yarding of 219 head, compared with 178 lost week. The quality showed an improvement on that of a week ago. There were eome uens ot medium heifers and cows, and some extra choice bullocks. The demand at I he opening was fairly strong. This wus maintained to the close. CUSTOMS REVENUE. The Customs revenue received at tho port of Wellington yesterday aggregated £7177, SALE AT LEVIN GOOD DEMAND FOR PIGS. Messrs Abraham and Williams advise, on their Levin sale as follows: The offering of pigs was very good in the Levin stock yards, and considering the time of .the year a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. In the pig section weaners fetched from 13s 6d to 18s, good weaners brought 20s, small stores from 14s to 235, good stores 30s to 355, light porkers to 38s 6d, light baconers £3 12s 6a to £3 355, sows in pig made £4 10s.
