CASE FRUITS IN NORTH FUNDS FOR ADVERTISING. There were 200,000 casee of apples in cool store at Auckland to-day, declared Mr F. Firth, at the Fruitgrowers’ Conference yesterday,, when the gathering considered a proposal that a voluntary levy of Id per case should be made bn ail fruit for local markets, to provide funds for advertising. The Federation had started in a small way, added the chairman (Mr T. C. Brash), and had decided to subsidise pound for pound, any sums spent for advertising by local associations. All the money had not been claimed. The resolution was defeated.
