WARRING TO MOTORISTS

SLIP ON PAEKAKAHIKI HILL. ROAD IMPOSSIBLE. A large slip came down on Sunday morning half-way up the Paefcakariki hill, on the Paekakariki ride. The road' is completely blocked. Several oars from Wellington were held up, and had to return to Pahata-, Pul and make the journey to the Manawatu by the Akatarawa-Waikanae road. This road is in good condition. The roadtaen at the work on the slip yesterday were of opinion that it would take two days to clear the road! sufficiently to enable traffic to be resumed.
