MAN BURNED TO DEATH: A LAD’S SUICIDE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 6. Edward Negri Walden, aged 24, was burned to death, in a fire at Pokeno last night when a store and bearding house,' both owned by the deceased’s brother (Henry Richard Walden) were destroyed. The fire started in a store, and- the house in which the deceased resided was enveloped in flames soon after'he entered it. A boy aged sixteen, named Walter Stanton Mills, of Onehunga, was found dead! in bed at home with a. gas pipe in his mouth.. He left a picture show at tihe interval, and was discovered by his mother on her return from the performance. The programme consisted of comica, gazettes and soenics, and there was nothing to prompt the act.
