RIGHT OF EVICTIONS

LORDS HOSTILE TO BILL. AMENDMENT DESIRED. Reuter's Telegram. LONDON, July «. In returning the new Evictions Bill, promoted by Mr E. D. Simon (Lib.), to the House of Commons, the House of Lords decided to waive on amendment regarding aliens, but persisted in favour of another amendment giving landlords’ children the right to obtain possession of a house as well as the landlord himself.

As it is unlikely that a compromise will be reached, the bill will probably be lost.
