(Continued from previous page-) WAIOTAPU FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company’s, steamer Waiotapu 6035 tons, arrived at Auckland last Thursday evening from San Francisco. She berthed at the Western wharf on Friday morning to discharge a large quantity of general merchandise, paper and case and crude oil The Waiotapu left Vancouver on May 23rd and called at .Bellingham, U.S.A., for merchandise, and at the two British Columbia ports, Union Bay and Ocean Falls, for bunker coal and paper, respectively. She proceeded thence to San Francisco, arriving on June 3rd, and leaving six days later for Auckland! direct. The weather was fine until July 2nd, when a moderate southerly gale, accompanied by strong head seas, sprang u.p and continued until noon on Thursday. From Auckland the vessel goes to Sydney, Newcastle and Melbourne, to complete discharge. Captain J. F. S Brown is m charge of the Waiotapu and he has with him the following officers: —Chief, Mr ,R. Huntley; second, Mr B. S. Cave; third, Mr D. McPherson; chief'engineer, Mr D. Skinner ; second, Mr H. Anewstupp; third, Mr J. Hutton; fourth, Mr ffi. Blair; fifth, Mr H. Whyte; Wireless operator, Mr M. Stitchbury; chief steward, Mr A. J. Norris.

PORT AUGUSTA I ROM NEW YORK The C. and D. lane 6teamer Port Augusta arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from New York, via Panama and Auckland, and berthed at the Queen's wharf, No. 14, to discharge a large quantity of assorted American freight. The vessel is to sail to-mor-row afternoon for Lyttelton- Dunedin, Castlecliff, and New Plymouth to , complete discharge. The Port Augusta will subsequently go to Australia to load for the United Kingdom. PORT VICTOR SAILS TO-DAY. The C. and D. Lina advises that the Fort Victor was delayed in loading operations at Wellington on Friday, owing to heavy rain. She is now timed to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton to complete loading. The Port Victor will be dispatched from Lyttelton on Thursday afternoon for London, via Monte Video. The fdllowing are passengers by the Port Victor: —Miss Hitt, Mrs Watson and child,-Mr and Mrs Scott, Stevenson and two children, Sister Lyon. Sur-geon-Commander ' Watson, R.N., will make the trip to England as ship’s surgeon.

THE EASTERN PACIFIC STEAMER. The Union Company advises that the Ngakuta is due at Rarotonga on Friday next from Auckland. The vessel will lead fruit and Xslond products at Rarotonga, Mangaia, and Aitutaki for Wellington. She is due here about July 23rd.

AWARUA MEETS BAD WEATHER. The small steamer Awarua, which left Wellington last Wednesday afternoon for Bluff to take up her headquarters there in connection with the fishing industry at the West Coast Sounds, put into Timaru on Friday afternoon for bunkers. The vessel encountered heavy weather on the trip down the coast. Her coal supplies were depleted, but no damage to the ship was reported.

KETCH CORONATION SOLD. The ketch Coronation, which has been laid up at Wellington for some time past, naa been sold to an Auckland firm. The vessel was originally owned by the Labour Department, and was subsequently taken over by the State Advances Department. She is now unan extensive overhaul and repairs. The Coronation will sail for Auckland in about ten days' time. ROTORUA TO LEAVE ENGLAND. The next passenger liner of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s fleet to leave Southampton with passengers and cargo for New Zealand ports will be the Rotorua. The .vessel is scheduled to sail from the Home port on August 14th for Wellington and Port Chalmers, via Panama. She will 'be due at Wellington on September 18th. MAMARI TO LEAVE LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mamari is fixed to’sail from London on July 23rd for New Zealand. She will be due at Auckland on August 30th with general merchandise. Later the vessel will proceed to Napier and Dunedin. PORT HUNTER TO LOAD. The C. and D. Line advise that the steamer Port Hunter will commence loading for New York, Boston and London at Bluff, about July 20th. She will then load at Port Chalmerß, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier and Auckland. The vessel is expected to leave Auckland about August ISth, and will proceed via Panama. THE CANADIAN CRUISER The first Canadian Government steamer to load cargo at Montreal this season for New Zealand, the Canadian Cruiser, is expected to arrive at Auckland to-morrow. She loft Montreal on June 2nd. After discharging the Auckland portion of her cargo the Canadian Cruiser will proceed to Australian ports, and will later return to New Zealand to load for New York, Boston and Montreal. CARGO FROM NECW YORK. The A. and A. Line steamer Tremere was expected to leave New York on July fith with cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin : ®nd Bluff The Kalomo is to sail from New York on July 20th with cargo to discharge at’ Auckland, Wellington, Lyt- | telton, Dunedin and Melbourne. The Doonholm is to leave New York on July '■ 30th with cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. The A. and A. Line have also Med the City of Lincoln to load at New York at the beginning of August for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Hobart and Launceston.

The Union Company announce tho following movements of steamers engaged ln ine trans-Pacific cargo service:— Hauraki, from Vancouver and Powell River, sailed from San Francisco on June 19th for Wellington, Bluff, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. She is due at Wellington about July 12th. Waiotupu, from Vancouver, Ocean Falls and San Francisco, arrived at Auckland on July 3rd. She is expected to sail frorn the northern port on Wednesday for Newcastle and Melbourne. The Mararoa, which was:- delayed at Wellington on Thursday night until 10.50 p.m.. awaiting repairs to an air pump, 'made a fast trip to Lyttelton. Sim arrived at the moles at 10.45 a.m." on Friday, the voyage having occupied 11 hours 55 minutes. Tho Maunganui is timed to sail at 3 p.m. on Wednesday for Sydney direct. ATHENIC SAILS FOR ENGLAND. The Shaw, Savill and! Albion liner Athenin left Wellington early on Saturday morning Tor - Southampton and London, via Monte Video and Teneriffe.
