Among the freezing companies that are at present in full swing in the slaughtering line is the Gear Meat Preserving Company. In the past few weeks many butchers were called upon to wield their knives in denliug with the large shipment of lambs etc., that arrived at tlio yards from the north, and the beef butchers were also kept fully employed. In all other departments the men were steadily engaged.
