LADIES’ GOLF

MISS GAMBRILL’S SUCCESS. The third round of the open championship and medal competition was played at Miramar yesterday. Features of the play were the brilliant rounds of Mrs Guy Williams and Miss Gambrill. Mrs Williams’s score was 82, the details of which were 545(6)3(4)43545(6)554(3)544467(6), bogey being shown in parentheses, where the score was above or below bogey. Mrs Williams thus wins the special trophy for the best net score of the tournament. Miss Gambrill, whose score for each of the preceding days was 84, finished in 83 yesterday. These two players have tied for second place in the senior division of the medal competition, their net scores being 81. Miss Carter, with a net score of 80, was the winner in the senior division. OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. BOGEY MATCH. Miss G. Fulton and Miss fi. Duncan (all .square) returned the best cards in the bogey competition, the next being those of Misses McClure, Mantell, and Wilson, who were each one dawn. Miss Fulton and Miss Duncan will play a deciding round on Monday. PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. During the afternoon- Hqr Excellency, Viscountess Jellicoe, presented the prizes to the winners of the various competitions, Miss Gambrill securing the challenge cup.
