PAN-PACIFIC CONFERENCE PROPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Asen.—Copyright. SYDNEY, August 19. The Australian Research Council considered and heartily supported the proposal to hold a Pan-Pacific scientific conference, at Sydney and Melbourne next year. The Commonwealtli Government has promised £SOOO towards the cost. Professor Sir E. David stated that an invitation to attend had been accepted by the United States National Research Council. Arrangements are being made to send out general invitations. The meetings discussed the scope of the conference and decided to add the officers of the Council of Research to the existing PanPacific Conference, officers to make the necessary arrangements.
