FLOATING IN HARBOUR. At noon on Saturday the body of a man was found floating in the harbour off tho Glasgow wharf. It was recovered and token to the morgue by Constable P. Munro. From papers found in the clothes tbs remains are supposed to 'be those of Joseph Cairns, a seaman, aged about 36 years, a native of Scotland, who signed off the steamer Waitomo’s articles at Lyttelton on July 29. Owing to the advanced state of decomposition it would be almost impossible to identify the body by examination.
