VALEDICTORY
HEADMASTER FAREWELLED. A pleaaant function took place at Mount Cook boys’ sohool, Taranaki street on Friday last, when Mr O. Bary, the headmaster, who is leaving the school after fourteen years’ service to take charge of Berhampore sohool, was furewelTed by the boys. There was a large gathering including Mrs Bary and the teaching staff and committee. The chairman of the school committee (Mr W. E. Fuller) and Mr A. Blair, iam old boy and member of the school committee, spoke of Mr Rary’s very successful career at, the sohool and wished him every success at his new institution. A presentation of a travelling rug and leather bag was made to Mr Bary by the boys. Mr Bary, in replying, heartily thanked the boys for their gifts. He deeply regretted leaving them, he said, and went on to give them some good advice os to their conduct and training. The boys then gave hearty cheers for Mr and Mrs Bary, and the proceedings closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
