ALLEGED MURDER
A MELBOURNE CASE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. MELBOURNE, August 18. Reuben Fox was committed for trial on a charge of murdering Mrs McLaughlin. Both attended a dance on the night of the tragedy, and evidence was given that the clothes Fox wore at the dance were bloodstained. Fox strongly denied his guilt. Following on the failure of Mrs McLaughlin, the wife of a labourer at Yea, to return home from a dance, black trackers were employed and found her body in the Yea river with wounds on the head and face. It was believed that Mrs McLaughlin, while on her way home from the dance, waa outraged and murdered. Reuben Fox was arrested in connection with the crime.
