M'CLEARY STILL CHAMPION

HIS APPEAL ALLOWED. PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, AmgnA 18. At a meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Council to-night the appeal of Brian McCleary in regard to the decision in his contest with F. McQmurrie was considered. It was decided "that on consideration of all the circunaatanoes os submitted the Council resolves that the McLeary v. MoQuarrie contest be declared void.” It was further resolved that the purse be equally divided. Mr E. A. Dawson was appointed manager of the team for the Australasian championships. An appeal was lodged by B. Facoory against his suspension by the Wanganui Boxing Association, and it was decided to ask the Wanganui Association to supply the council with the evidence on which it bad based its decision.
