BASKET BALL
AUCKLAND y. WELLINGTON.
To-morrow (Saturday) the first inter provincial basket ball match Auckland v. Wellington will be played at Clyde quay School at 2.30 p.m. Considerable interest is being taken in the match, as basket ball is obtaining increased favour among young ladies in Wellington. The following team will represent Wellington: —Defenders, Miss Crumpton (vice-captain Training College), Miss Belle Lithgow (Gilby’s College), Miss Parker (Y.W.C.A.); centres. Miss Sim (captain. Y.W.C.A.), Miss Frizell (Training College), Miss Gray (Y.W.0.A,.); goal-throwers, Miss Holland (Training College), Mibs Annie Lithgow (Gilby’s College), Miss Roberta (Wesley). Emergencies—Defender, Miss Turner (Y.W.C.A.); centre, Miss Munro (Training College); goal-thrower. Miss Lenz (Training College). All other matches postponed.
