ACCEPTANCE OF COMPANY’S PROPOSALS BLOCKED. EXECUTIVE’S~ACTION DISAPPROVED. Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received May 11, 8 p.m.) HOBART, May 11. Tho Mount Lyell mine employees are indignant at the executive of combined unions blocking their acceptance of the company’s proposals. They declare that this can only lead to a deadlock and closing of the mines, which will be disastrous to the district.. After the men had recorded a vote in favour of acceptance of the Mount Lyell Company’s proposals, the executive of the combined unions met and decided that the proposals were . not acceptable, on the grounds that any alteration in wage tuid working conditions should be decided by the court. The executive offered to waive all preliminary technical objections, and to co-operate with the directors in immediately approaching the court.
