A RACING BILL

PROPOSED LEGISLATION. A Bill has been prepared by Mr Skerrett, K.C., of Wellington, under the instruction of tbe executive of the Country Racing Clubs, having for its purpose the restoration of the number ol days racing that were curtailed through the 1910 Gaming Legislation, increasing the number of days of racing and trotting for new clubs in districts where tie increase of population warrants the same, providing a sufficient number of clays of racing and trotting for new clubs, and providing 'eight days’ for hunt clubs so that the 16 hunt clubs, licensed biennially to use the totalisator may have annual licenses.
