N.Z. JOURNALISTS'
ANNUAL MEETING OF INSTITUTE. There was a. good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Journalists, Mr W. J. Guerin presiding. It was decided that it bo an instruction to the incoming committee to confer with the Journalists’ Union regarding the scope of tho activities of the institute and union and other matters, including tho question of the advisability of publishing a journalists’ paper. It was resolved that an effort should he made to have the institute represented at the World’s Press Congress, to bo held in Sydney next Easter. Mr P. Galvin, an old committeeman, who declined re-nomina-tion, was elected a life member of the institute. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing term: President, Mr W. J. Guerin; vicepresidents, Mosers C. W. Earle, F. J. Earle, and W, J. Penn; committee, Mosers A. N. Field, H. 11. Hooper, F. H. Morgan, H. Hardcastle, C. E. Wheeler, and G. Osborne; delegatus to council, Messrs F. J. Earlo and A. N. Field; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J, R. Smith; auditor, Mr H. T. B. Drew.
