DRAUGHTS TOURNAMENT
CALDERWOOD AGAIN SUCCESSFUL.
PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. TIMABU, Aprdl 9. The draughts championship tourney, which commenced on Good Friday, was completed to-day. Oalderwood, of Huntly the champion since 1914, won without losing a game. Hilliker, of Dunedin, being the runner-up, and Boreham (JJunedr.n), an ei-chnmpmn, was third. Morris (Tuitapcre), Brown (Christchurch), and Beck (Timaru), also competed. In a son led handicap tournament Wilson, of Dunedin, with a handicap of 3. who won 15 games, won the first prize, Sounness, of Danncv’.rke (scr). WJ games 'beiniir second, and Bobtmg, of Balclutha (i) X4J games third. Carswell, of Mosgiol) (1)7 14 "imics, D. Morris (Tuabapero (2-1) 14 games. W. Young, of Christchurch (2). 13 games, F. Hutchins, of Invercargill (2). JOJ games, and 'I. Bussell, of Fairlic (4), lOf. and Crooks and Gray. (Timaru) and Millington (Christchurch) wore the other competitors.
