SICKNESS AMONG SOLDIERS
The influenza opidemic which for some time has been prevalent in tho military camos as well as among the civil population, is abating, according to yesterday's hospital reports. Every precaution is taken by tho military medical authorities tot prevent the disease from spreading, and however slight the case it is placed under observation.
At Trentham 113 attended the morning sick parade, of which number 13 were admitted to hospital, 11 being influenza cases. Seven men wore detained for observation and those remaining in hospital numbered 273, of which 183 were influenza oases.
At Featherston the attendance at the morning sick parade was 84, three 'men being admitted to hospital, ono of the number beine an influenza cnso. Seven men were detained for observation, and the number receiving treatment in hospital was 75. the influenza cases beinc 24. The meningitis patient at Trentham was reported yesterday to be rapidly recoverinc from the disease.
