FLAGLESS WINDOWS IN WELLINGTON
In every direction one looks in Wellington one sees windows decorated with the Red Cross. Even yet some people are ignoraat as to the meaning of these Red Crosses on white paper. The explanation is simple. Tne little flags are purchased at 5s each from the ( Rea Cross Society and the object of 'O-ur Day Flag Drive" is to have every window in Wellington carrying this symbol of mercy. Much good work has alroady been done, but a great many windows still remain blank. After all. 5s is so little to give, and the cause, is so great, that surely almost everybody can afford to have at least one of those little flags in the window. .: . ;<.ss representatives are in every and will be glad to supply, or .lags may be obtained from the K<. Cross ofhee, 330, Lambton quay. "Our Day" effort, which is the great Red Cross event of the year, terminates on Thursday next. If you have not vet contributed, let you donations me sent right away. An a renouncement appears in our advcrtis:ii: columns.
