The dispute between the Auckland Tramways Company and-its employees was further considered by the Labour Disputes Committee . to-day. Suggestions made by the chairman for a settlement were considered, with two adjournments, after which the chairman (the Hon. G. Fowlds) .announced that his proposals had not been acceptable, and the committee now-proposed to report to the Minister for Labour with alternative proposals, as provided by the Act. The Minister, on receipt of the proposals, will cause them to be advertised, and afterwards the Registrar of Industrial Unions will take a secret ballot of members of tho union on tho question whether or not a strike shall take place; r ‘
