Press Association. THOMAS, March 30. The Hon. - W-, Fraser, Minister for publio “Works, visited Thames this morning, and ’spent the day with borough and county councillors. Recent flood damage’ was carefully inspected. To remedy-damage in the borough the Minister promised £IOOO as an immediate advance on the pound for pound principle. Ho suggested a loan to cover further damage, and promised that the Government might make a further grant when it received a report from the district engineer and the County Council.
