WORKERS’ EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION

The second annual meeting of tho Wellington centre of tho Workers’ Educational Association wa? held on Saturday at tho Trades Hall. Professor T. A. Hunter (president) presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were considered highly satisfactory, and were unanimously adopted. The following officers were elected ; —Professor T. A. Hunter, president; Mr J. McKenzie, treasurer; representatives upon the joint tutorial class committee, Miss M. England, Messrs G. Ward, W. Maddison, and J. McKenzie.

■ A great deal of business was done in connection with extending the activities of the association and making its objects known to various associations and persons not at present in affiliation. The report and balance-sheet , will be sent to all organisations in conjunction with the reports from Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill, in the form of a Dominion report of the past year’s .activities of the asso ■ ciation. ' ' ;

The preliminary meeting of the Wellington Economics Class will be held next Saturday at 8 p.m., at the Trades Hall. The English Class will meet on Monday, April 2nd, at 8 p.m., in the same building. All intending students are invited to be present at those meetings. ’ A pleasing feature of the meeting was the presence of visitors connected with the movement from Christchurch and Invercargill. • I,
