The reclamation of Harbour Board land at Waterloo quay is so far advanced that no more dredgings can be I deposited on it. Altogether some 37,000 tons were pumped ashore. Xt i» pronosed to complete the reclamation so far as it is possible by filling from carts as material is available. During the year a portion of the land available for leasing was submitted to public tender, and three sections have been leased—one to Messrs McCulla and Hamilton, and two sections adjoining, comprising nearly H acres, to Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., on which, it is understood, it is proposed to erect a large wool store. Other land in the vicinity is being inquired after, and will shortly be submitted for public tender, provided it is not required by the Government for the erection of a temporary store for military purposes.
