From Our Own Correspondent. OTAKI, Friday. Sharks have been plentiful off .Kapiti during the warm weather, and a large number have been captured. Several of the sharks were large in eize, among tho number being a number, of blu» onesThere are still a number of camping parties at Kapiti—now a favourite resort. Visitors have been present from Wanganui, Taranaki, and Wellington districts. The Levin Dairy Co. will pay Is Id per lb for butter-fat supplied duriDg December. The total payment will he nearly .£7OOO. At yesterday's meeting of the Hutt County Council Councillor Howell drew attention to a triad of restart ho was making on the road at Paraparaumu, and stated that the old style of maintenance was past, and that the council would have to be more modern in its work. He hoped his experiment would serve a tt6eful purpose. Bestar had stood well in other places, and ho saw do reason why it should not bo used with advantage in. tho Hutt County.
