THE APOSTOLIC DELEGATE
WILL ARRIVE IN WELLINGTON ON MONDAY.
His Excellency Monsignor C'eritti, D.D., Archbishop of Corinth, the representative in Australasia of the Holy See, will arrive at Wellington on Monday morning next by the TJlimaroa from Sydney. His Excellency will be met on 'board tho steamer by the Hierarchy of New Zealnud, and by tho secretary to the delegation, tho Rev. iDr Ormond, formerly of Auckland. The Harbour Board has placed a shed at tho disposal of the reception committee, where the local and visiting clergy and members of the committee will be assembled to meet His tjxcellency.
On Monday evening a short religious ceremony will take place at the Basilica, Hill street, concluding v/itfi the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. On Tuesday evening, a public reception will he given to His Excelloncy by the Catholics of Wellington, when addresses v r ill ho presented by the Hierarchy, clergy, and people of New Zealand, and by the laity of tho archdiocese of Wellington. A short musical programme will bo given, and speeches will be delivered by Mr J. J. L. Burke (chairman), Archbishop Redwood, and visiting prelates. The engagements aU'eady arranged includo visits to tiio convent at Lower Hutt, the Church of tho Sacred Heart, and the Homo of Compassion, Island Bay. Several prominent citizens havo placed thoir motor-cars at the disposal of the committee for tho use of His Excellency during the visit to tho city, and if time'permits visits will be paid to the local Catholic institutions.
