FACTORY BUTTER DIVISION

RECORD ENTRIES RESULTS OF THE BUTTER COMPETITION. Special to the ‘"Times.” PALMERSTON N., June 21. Though the weather is rather threatening there is the prospect of a change to-morrow, and the people of Palmerston North and surrounding districts are looking forward to a very auspicious opening of the-twelfth National Dairy Show. The entries in all departments aria particularly satisfactory, and on the wnole those of last year are exceeded by 230. So far the arrangements promoted by the Manawatu • and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association have been most satisfactory, and ample provision ruts been mane lor an exhiortion of products that will be most creditable to the country. Concurrently with the show the usual conferences will be held, but it is not expected that anything of particular importance: will be (nought forward beyond a reference to the grievance 'which has recently arisen in regard to, increased ofcean. freights.
