That within a few weeks there will" be an abundance of knitting wool on the market, manufactured by local companies, was intimated at a meeting of tho Wellington Industrial Association last night. Tho secretary (Mr H. F. Allen) stated that ho had made inquiries of various companies as to the need for importing this wool from England. Ho had found that tho wool manufactured here in tho past had not been of the strand required for making Balaclavas, etc., but they had turned their attention to the article in demand with tlio result that all orders for knitting wool would be satisfactorily met in. a fow weeks. '
