During the month of June 9282 amiOaals were slaughtered at the municipal abattoirs, comprising 543 cows, 644 bullocks, 74 bulls, 7162 sheep, 680 lambs, 157 calves and 22 pigs. The numbers arc a considerable increase on the numbers of animals slaughtered last ye<»r. ‘Thirty-two cows, 15 bullocks, 5 and 278 sheep were condemned. The 'fees received were:—For stock slaughtered, £249 19s 3d; from meat export! companies, £lOl 11s Id; sales of offal, .£233 6s lid; cleaning tripe, £47 8s 3d. The total fees, £632 5s 6d, were an increase of £l4l Is lOd over the fees received during June. 1914.
