FOUR YEARS IN ARREAR
To the Editor “N.Z. Times.” Sir, — Upon making a search at the Land Transfe; Office to ob.ain particulars of a property. I asked for the "nominal index,” and judge of my surprise to learn that this book. Was four years in arrear. , How solicitors in, the Wellington district have managed to get along without tao ‘‘nominal index” is a marvel to me.
This is a matter that should be attended to without further delay. I wish to make it clear tliat I am not making any cuargo aeainst the members of the staff of the department, each of whom 1 can say honestly is a paragon of courtesy and industry.
