WELLINGTON MUSICAL UNION
■ The Musical Union invites applications for additional membership in the chorus. The music of the second concert is to be proceeded with, the major work being Gaul’s historical cantataopera “Joan of Arc.” The executive especially desires to strengthen the contralto section of the chorus. The rehearsals of “Hiawatha” axe approaching finality, and it is intended to produce this work at an early date, prefaced by a rendition of Stanford’s “The Last Post.” Intending new members are requested to meet the conductor (Mr Claughton) before rehearsal tonight, at 7.30, in St. Andrew’s Hall, The Terrace.
