GENERAL FORECAST FOR TO-DAY. (By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications (5 p.m. yesterday) are for cold and squally conditions, with heavy showers generally and hail and sleet .in the south. Southerly winds strong to gale are probable, the barometer rising everywhere shortly. (Details on Page 12.)
