JEWELLERY ROBBERY
THREE WELL-KNOWN “CROOKS.” By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received May 19, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 19. In connection with the £IO,OOO jewellery at Cairo, the Superintendent of Police is of opinion that the perpetrators aro three well-known “crooks” who left ■ Australia recently. The "Daily Chronicle’s” Alexandria correspondent stated that a gang of Australian burglars are on their way to England. While at Alexandria they robbed Rosenfeld, a jeweller of £IO,OOO worth of jewellery; and gems.
