CHARGES OF THEFT

ANOTHER CUSTOMS OFFICIAL , ARRESTED. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH March 12. Rumours of further Customs cases were confirmed to-day when James Edward Rundle, civil servant, employed in the Customs office, was arrested. Accused appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon on' three charges of theft:—That on December 6th, 1912, he did steal the. sum of £l7 10s, the property of Barlow Bros.: that on March 26th, 1912, he did steal the sum ofi £37 16s, the property of Barlow Bros.; and that on April 25th, 1912, h: did steal the sum of £59 17s, the property of the same firm. - Accused was remanded for a week. Bail was allowed himself in £IOO and one surety of £IOO.
