PROPOSED LECTURES AT IMPERIAL INSTITUTE. Rk Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, March 11. The Secretary of State for the Colonies (Mr Lewis Harcourt), in reply to Mr R. H- Barron, M.P., said he had carefully considered the proposal that, as a guide, demonstrators should give short -lectures at the Imperial Institute showing the products, openings, and advantages of colonial life, but he did not feel justified in sanctioning the expenditure, as the institute’s funds were limited.
