AMERICAN COMPETITION IN EUROPE, Bj Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, March 11. At a meeting of the British Chambers of Commerce, Sir Algernon Firth (President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of the United Kingdom) urged that the production of raw materials and foodstuffs throughout the Empire shiuld be stimulated, because American competition in Europe for foodstuffs would cause a considerable rise in prices unless production was increased.
